Short Bio: He was my second other. I believe that he was named after the husband of my father's sister. According to his death certifica= te, John died of hyaline memane disease. We were not the only family afflicted by the disease in those days. John Fitzgerald and Jaqueline Kennedy lost their son, Patrick Bouvier, just eighteen months later. He was the first child born to a sitting president during the twentieth century. The president was assasinated a few short months afterwards; he was shot just days after my birthday.
Gratitude: I realised early on that life is a gift that can be too easily lost; it is precious.
Saint: Nicholas of Flue, Peacemaker (1417-1487), Patron of Switzerland & Pontifical Swiss Guards; the significance of this will become evident later in the month.
